Lahore High Court lets Saeed Out. Can someone please explain to me why we are playing a warm up match with Pakistan today? Yes Yes I know it is not the players fault and all that nonsense. But we banned South Africa from cricket for 21 years for apartheid and 60 countries boycotted the 1980 Moscow Olympics because of the USSR's insurgence in to Afghanistan. The Olympics which is an event that comes every four year and a once in a lifetime chance for most athletes that participate was boycotted. Those countries took a stand. I think if we are taking a stand we should take a firm one. We should not even play them in the world cup if we have to. We should boycott the match in protest. If that effects our chances to win it then so be it. If we really want to get the message across we should take bold steps. That's just my view but I am sure you have plenty of opposing ones.
Yuvraj missed the warm up match against New Zealand because of a "stomach illness". Poor kid. I don't know this for a fact and I am purely speculating here, but my guess is that a Grey Goose may have given the guy a bad stomach. Wait a second, isn't that the name of a vodka? Oh ya it is...hmmm.....again, don't know this for a fact, but based on his reputation, London, in the Summer? yup...anyway.

Maria Sharapova lost in the quarters of the French. Now that is a comeback, reaching the quarters. Sania, hope you are watching. I know Sania could have never reached the quarters but losing first round to the 81st ranked player in the world? Great come back. Maria has been out way longer than Sania. Oh and my favorite part was the times of India talking about how Sania "emphatically" won her first game to make the score 1-1.  
Nadal, Murray, Djokovic, Verdasco etc. etc. etc. all out. Roger Roger Roger...will he do it....tooooo stressful

No controllers?? The new X-Box sounds unreal. Will have to try it to see if it ends up being as incredible as it sounds.

I am going to miss Leno.

There is a British Comedy troupe performing in Mumbai this week. I am so glad that stand up is gaining some momentum in the city. It even inspired guys like Vir Das to perform. I never saw his show because I thought his stuff on TV was terrible, but I heard his show was pretty good. The point is it is giving a new avenue for people to break out in to stand up.

That is it for now. T20 World Cup starting, hopefully Roger will be holding up a trophy on Sunday and I have a friend named "Dog" whose Sangeet I have to attend on Saturday...More later.

    Gandhi, get your tech right, 'project natal' isn't a new xbox, it's a new xbox controller prototype. Think you should just stick to sports and politics bro...lol

    Yup. Everyone was expecting an evolution of what the Wii's motion sensing controller. Project Natal really hit it out of the park.

    When you got guys like Spielberg endorsing the future of the product you can expect something special. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

Yes, I am writing a blog. It has been more than two months and I don't have an excuse on why I haven't written, at least not a good one. But with so much sports going on, I finally decided that I am writing again. So here is my take on Roger Federer and the sports event that has had me glued- the World Series of Poker. I haven't written on the World Cup because we are well in to the tournament. May be I will write when it is all over. Here goes... Roger- I have heard so many random theories on Roger Federer's early departure from Roland Garros and The Championships that I figure why not share mine. I am a die hard Roger Federer fan and it pains me to say this, but it is time we stop expecting him to win or reach the final of every grand slam he enters. That period is done. He is the greatest player to ever play the game but even he must lose eventually. Do I think Roger has a couple of more slams in him? Yes. I think he will win a few more, may be even this years U.

Meera Sanyal- Clueless

While I do admire that Mrs. Meera Sanyal took it upon herself to be an instrument of change, I just wish the instrument was better tuned before it began playing in the orchestra. When it comes to representing south Mumbai and being a member of parliament, I am afraid Meera Sanyal is in unfamiliar waters and it is clear that she has no idea what she is doing. I had the opportunity to hear Mrs. Meera Sanyal, Mr. Milind Deora (Congress), Mr. Mohan Rawale (Shiv Sena), Dr. Mona Shah (Professionals Party of India) and Mr. Bala Nandgaonkar (MNS) speak at an event organized at Altamount Road in South Mumbai this evening. It was a great platform for voters to meet their candidates and get to know what they are all about. I was most curious to see what Meera Sanyal was like. Much has been said about this lady and she seems to be gathering support in some circles. I feel bad for Shahrukh Khan. I really do. When I get a off a flight all I want to do is just get the hell out of the airport. To be detained for two hours, questioned and not allowed to make a phone call, it must be painful. But at the same time I have to say that in the terror filled world that we live in, sometimes, each and every one of us has to go through this. Even beloved Bollywood superstars. I don't have an issue with SRK's anger, I would be fuming too. I don't have an issue with the media coverage of the event. SRK is a huge celebrity and press coverage was expected. The area that I have an issue with is when people say what happened to SRK was wrong. I firmly believe that superstar or no superstar, each person has to go through the same random checks as we all do. Today it is SRK and so people are upset. What if tomorrow it is some random celebrity from some obscure country that no one knows? At that point we would all say, what is the big deal, he should have b
